TUESDAY November 7 Mercury's mini-eclipse A black dot is about to pass across the Sun. It's not visible from all lands and can only be seen with a special viewing device, but it is still an event full of potent portent. For a few hours, once every few years, Mercury effectively creates a 'mini-eclipse'; revealing itself in broad daylight against the Solar backdrop. This heralds a time when truths come to light, agreements take on new meanings, lessons are learned, discoveries are made and hidden agendas are revealed. Today's forecasts focus mainly on the meaning of the Mercury transit for each sign. |
WEDNESDAY November 8 Transit of Mercury One small black dot. One big bright sun. One five-hour event visible only to specially equipped observers. What can that mean to you and me? How can we expect our lives to change as a result of this 'Transit of Mercury'? Well, if you've lately been having difficulty with phones, computers, communication systems or legal and commercial dealings, you've already been caught up in the influence. Coming next: the positive side of this influence. The ability to reach a valuable understanding that seems obvious... yet which was once shrouded in fog. |
THURSDAY November 9 'Combust' Mercury email Dear Jonathan, An astrologer once told me I had a 'combust' Mercury. It was too close to the Sun on the day I was born - so communication would never be my forte. What, then, of babies born during yesterday's Mercury Transit? Will they also find it hard to express themselves? Leonie
Dear Leonie, |
FRIDAY November 10 Seven Year Itch email Hi Jonathan I got married in 1999. Friends keep asking if I have 'the seven-year itch'? I haven't, but it makes me wonder. Is there something astrological about problems arising after a seven-year interval? Ali Dear Ali, |
SATURDAY November 11 Mercury reversing Your Week Ahead: In the last few weeks, Mercury formed conjunctions to Venus, Jupiter, and Mars. Between now and Christmas it will happen all over again. That's because Mercury is reversing while the other planets are moving on. Soon, though, Mercury will turn round, speed forward and swiftly catch them up. We astrologers know this is not quite the scientific reality but we read meaning into the view from the window of 'Spaceship Earth'. This is now telling us that anyone who has recently done a deal, made a promise or expressed an extreme point of view will soon have a chance to revisit this and either renew or renege! |
