Jonathan Returns
I'm back. Many thanks to Steve Judd for sitting in. Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury and the Moon are all now visible in the night sky. The Sun, as usual, is up every day! So that's all seven traditional moving lights, where we can see them, when we'd expect to see them. That's not always the way. Often, many planets are hidden because they are up in the day when the Sun's light shines so brightly that it 'drowns out' all else. There is something sweetly symbolic about the current alignment. It's as if the whole of our planet Earth is about to be blessed by some wonderful new development.

It's Not Easy Being Green?
I have just returned from a festival where every single stall and sideshow made a commitment to run entirely on energy from the wind or sun. Between us, we pooled solar panels, wind turbines and batteries to drive computers, amplifiers and lights. We even just about managed to sustain the cafe that turned up with an electric deep freeze! (They'll be using gas fridges next year). But I now know even more about how a less pollution-causing, resource-draining world can eventually be created. And I am even more confident that a cleaner, greener future lies ahead for us all!

Your Weekend
One eclipse behind us, the other in front. The Earth, Sun and Moon remain in alignment. By the end of the week, a giant needle in space could skewer all three like tomatoes on a kebab. Not that I am predicting any such thing. I certainly foresee no great disaster. It is, though, an appropriate time to remember that there are more mysteries in Heaven and on Earth than any of us will ever unravel. Be grateful for whatever, in your life now, is paradoxical. That's the area of your world in which, if you go beyond fear, prejudice or denial, real magic can be made to happen.
