Some readers' thoughts about relationships...
|
Dear Jonathan
"A relationship commences when two people make a mutual commitment to be there for each other through thick and thin." Carolyn
"The relationship officially begins with the first date!" Kate
"As soon as you meet you begin a relationship. What road that relationship takes is anyone's guess." Julie
"Not with the very first exchange, but from the moment you consciously take notice of one another." Jackie
"It could be said that all humans who exist at the same time are in a nascent-relationship." Paul
"It's a moment in time that is remembered by both parties." Christine

More on relationships...
|
Dear Jonathan...
"A relationship starts, the moment the heart is touched." Dawn
"It's when we really get to know each other - in court!" CB
"Personally, I would not deem to call seeing someone a couple of times a relationship. To me it's when your feelings have become more intense." Linda
"My astrologer has always told me it is fine to meet and date people under a Venus retrograde, but you should wait until it's out of retrograde before physically consummating the relationship. I've been single for eleven years now. Maybe I should start ignoring some of his advice..." K

When does a relationship start?
|
Dear Jonathan...
"The first time two people interact, they have a 'relationship'. This can be very superficial; i.e. the guy who poured my coffee was my morning coffee guy, or it could be more than superficial. Still, it begins there." Kathleen
"I think a relationship officially starts the moment you trade in ownership over yourself for a first kiss from her." Michel
"My husband and I have always counted the first time we met as the beginning of our relationship. It's often easier to look back and determine when the relationship began rather than trying to figure it out while you are trying to determine if you even have one." Leslie
"It begins... when you realise all the relationships before this had failed so you could be together." Ivy

Relationship Ahoy!
|
Dear Jonathan...
"According to the dictionary a relationship is a connection, association or involvement with someone or thing. My partner and I have a different opinion on when our relationship started. He felt the connection before I did." Katie
"The first time there is a moment of intimacy is when the relationship really starts." Tina-Louise
"Rene Descartes once said 'good sense is the most evenly shared thing in the world'. Maybe he was right, maybe not. It's debatable. Just as it is debatable to say we know for sure when an intimate relationship between two people begins." Anthony

More on Relationships
|
Hi Jonathan:
A relationship begins when two people PLAN a meeting on a date and time scheduled AFTER meeting initially, no matter by what the initial means; casual, coincidental or even a formal event that both attended. But the planned activity would also include an initial blind date because both
parties EXPECT to get acquainted then. It's when the initial get-together is decided by the couple themselves. Joan
I have the opposite problem; when does a relationship end? We can't seem to stop, after breaking up 12, yes 12 times. Perhaps it just hasn't started properly? Nicky

Your November Monthly Forecast
|
Have you been watching Jupiter lately. This beacon of hope and justice has been bright for months and still shines out all night. If you've been tracking Jupiter's movements, you'll know it has been
slipping slowly backwards since July. In November, it changes direction. So too does Venus. The planet of love and creativity is too close to the Sun to be visible in the sky right now - but it,
too, turned retrograde earlier this month... and will 'turn' on the same day as Jupiter. This makes the whole month auspicious and November 19, especially so... for all of us.
