That's Your Lottery
|
Dear Jonathan,
I keep doing the different lotteries each week and I am not getting anywhere. Now you say, in my forecast, that wealth is not important. Well it is to me. If I won a substantial amount of money it would solve all my debt problems and then I could move on. Andrew
Dear Andrew,
If you really must do the lottery, just buy one ticket, for one lottery each week. The odds are so woefully slim, they hardly get any better when you buy two or twenty tickets. Put the rest of your money towards your debts!

In the Beginning
|
Dear Jonathan,
The beginning of a relationship is that tiny yet powerful moment when you simply just know you are with a soul who will complete you a little more and bring you closer to the much sought-after sense of togetherness. Oh, and it never ends. The connection is always there. The love never ends, is never lost. It just transforms. When you think it is over, it's not really over; it is there in you, in the changed you, around you, and in the changed world around you. There is no such thing as a lost love. Maria

Nice Day for a Wedding?
|
William, future king, was born on the solstice. He must be instinctively drawn to the old ways for he has opted to marry at Beltane; a fertility festival known to pagans and druids as a 'cross quarter day.' Read more here. Meanwhile, another reader writes about renaming the sign of Cancer...Jonathan, Dear Jonathan,
The word Cancer came from the father of modern medicine, Hippocrates. He used the Greek word, carcinos, to describe tumours because he saw crab-like shapes in them. Anthony
Hi Jonathan,
Why not change the name of the disease? Hasn't the sign of Cancer had that name since since the zodiac came into existence? The name Cancer makes a powerful sound. Let's reduce the name of the
disease to something weak and take its power away. E
Hello Jonathan, During my studies I learned that the zodiac sign, Cancer, was once symbolised by a scarab beetle. Colin

Mutable When Suitable
|
Hi Jonathan,
Before I can finish what I've chosen to do, I change my mind and go on to something new. The alternative always sounds better... or seems easier.... or maybe it is 'finally the thing I should be doing.' Why's this? JoAnna
Dear JoAnna,
You didn't tell me your date of birth, but clearly, what's driving this is the influence of a 'mutable sign'. We are all mutable to some extent and should be glad of this. The ability to change is a blessing. As for the ability to stay put? You'll find that when you need it!

More Sign Language
|
Dear Jonathan,
When I was a child my mother had major surgery because of cancer. I cannot forget how confused I was because I knew my sign was Cancer. I felt responsible for my mother's illness in some way. Ermina
Hi Jonathan,
I'm a Cancerian and have no problem with the name of my sign. It's just Latin for crab. In Denmark, Cancer translates into Krebs (which means crayfish). Patricia
Dear Jonathan,
I am Cancer and I've had cancer. For me the two are completely separate things. Don't make me a 'Moon Child'. I'm scared of the Moon. Marion

Your Week Ahead
|
All astrological alignments are 'subjective'. They're based on the view from Earth. If we were looking at them from elsewhere in the universe, we'd see them differently. But this is our home and the sky is our window on the world. Our view through that window tells us how our world may be about to change. According to the ancients, two planets - apparently at right angles - mean changes are due. And though the ancients never knew about the planet Uranus, modern astrologers know what to expect from this weeks 'square' between Mars and Uranus. A dramatic, exciting time awaits.
