PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

October 17 2011 to October 23 2011

Monday October 17
Final Countup

Hi Jonathan,
11.11.11 at 11.11 represents a gateway. The two pillars of '11' allow us into a new way to cleanse, heal, rejuvenate and activate. The lesson of master number 11 is to anchor our spiritual self into our physical self from all five dimensions, integrating this vibration into every cell. Tracey

Dear Tracey, I'm not sure I understand but it sounds jolly good.

Dear Jonathan, I wonder if Adam and Eve once said...'Oooh, look. It's 01.01.01! ' Janet

Dear Janet, The calendar counts from Mary and Joseph, not Adam and Eve. But I doubt anyone ever said this!

Tuesday October 18
My Olde Dutch

Dear Jonathan,
If 11.11 is important, perhaps we should worry about next year - 112 is the emergency number in many European countries. Robin

Hi Jonathan,
Since the Middle Ages, in the south of the Netherlands, the 11th of the 11th has been the day people start making preparations for carnival in the following February or March. I suppose the philosophy behind the carnival also has to do with new beginnings. And traditionally, it's the time you can make fun of (local) politicians. Paula

Dear Paula,
Make fun of politicians? Now why would we ever want to do that?

Wednesday October 19
Quick Thinking

Dear Jonathan, Your recent suggestion, that thoughts may travel faster than light, just doesn't add up. The electro-chemical signals within our brains go much slower than light. Then again, if it is possible to have prophetic dreams, perhaps our minds can actually travel faster than time. Which brings up another odd thing. Neutrinos, theoretically, travel backwards through time. Daniel Dear Daniel, That's my point! I'm sure our more 'mundane' thoughts follow the laws of physics as we currently know them - but when we are blessed with psychic insights or flashes of telepathic understanding, very different principles may apply.

Noises On

About ten years ago, I was introduced to Dr James Spottiswoode, the eminent parapsychologist. He showed me an experiment in which people wore headphones. A computer then played them noises at random, punctuated by silences of varying lengths. The subjects wore sensors. These detected the exact moment when the person responded to the noise. You would expect this to have happened a fraction of a second later. But consistently, they reacted before it was played! Not by much. A half second here, two seconds there. Enough to suggest that some of our thoughts may well travel faster than light.

Friday October 21
Future Tense

Yesterday, I described an experiment, shown to me by Dr James Spottiswoode. Volunteers wearing headphones were played odd noises, at random intervals. Sensors on their fingertips detected the exact moment they reacted. Many responded up to three seconds BEFORE the noise was played. I've tried this myself and have watched my friends try it too. The phenomenon doesn't happen every time but it happens often enough to tell us something about our consciousness of the moment we exist in, right here, right 'now'. It seems the very near future is as real to us as the very recent past.

Your Week Ahead

Dear Jonathan,
In a recent forecast, you said, 'Fairytales never document the details of the happy-ever-after because it is rarely as happy as the storytellers suggest.' I once read a book by Michael Meade. He said, 'There has been a small error in the translation of that phrase. The saying originally was, "They lived happily in the ever-after".' I just wanted to share that comforting thought. Dee

Dear Dee,
Thank you. This week's Dark Of The Moon, by the way, should make the idea of happy-ever-after seem much more attainable for many of us!
