PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY March 19 2012 to March 25 2012 Monday March 19 Refreshing News The sky, this evening, will seem darker than usual because the Moon is rapidly waning away. Soon, we'll be entering the Dark of The Moon, a time when we all become a little more sensitive and intuitive. To add to this magical mood, we're approaching the equinox. The days are now as long as the nights and vice versa! Under this influence we often feel the urge to clear up our homes and clean up our acts. It's a great time to start giving up an old habit, taking up a new routine or working towards a better balance. Tuesday March 20 Opportunity Equinox It's the equinox. But in the northern hemisphere, it's the spring equinox; while, Down Under, it's the autumn equinox. Either way, it marks the changing of the season and the time of year when the days are as long as the nights. The cosmos is somehow creating a better balance for us all -and millions, all over the world, are feeling an impulse to clear away clutter, sort out mess and tidy up unfinished business. It's also the mystical Dark of the Moon. If you're getting a strong intuitive feeling about someone or something, you should take it seriously. Wednesday March 21 Happy New Astro-Year The Sun has now entered Aries. We have reached the start of the astrological year. Once, that was a reason for people all over the world to hold a celebration and make a resolution. These days, the old ways are all but forgotten and we follow a strange 'civil calendar' that makes a big fuss of January 1 for no particular reason. If you now want to give (or take) something up, you'll find the next few days provide wonderful opportunities. You'll also capture the mystic energy of the New Moon. It's a great time for a fresh start. Thursday March 22 New Moon This isn't the first time we've had a New Moon close to the equinox. It's not exactly an annual event but nor could we call it 'historic'. The recent conjunction of Venus and Jupiter actually is annual, even though it doesn't happen at quite the same time each year - or look so impressive. But it was appropriate to describe the recent Grand Trine as historic. Grand Trines involving the Moon come and go fairly often but this one had no lunar component. Tomorrow I'll tell you about one historic event that still lies in store. Friday March 23 Fault Line Hi Jonathan, I'm tired of everyone buying into that 'everything is in our mind' business: if you lost a piece of jewellery maybe your thoughts led to that loss; and everything is our fault! That's like saying that external forces have no impact on anything. Ken Hi Ken, I presume you're referring to the letter I answered recently and I suggested a reader had negative associations with some of her jewellery and that this was why she was 'accidentally' losing it. Of course not everything is our own fault! But often, we are responsible for more than we realise. Saturday March 24 Your Week Ahead We have seen a lot of auspicious omens in March. Further positive alignments await us in coming months. So we really should keep this week's tense climate in perspective. Though Mars and Uranus form an antagonistic angle, we need not expect big dramas or sudden showdowns - just events and situations that look, at first, as if they might be about to lead to such developments. We might also expect problems that appear impossible, no matter how hard we try to solve them The key word here is 'appear.' The key to success, this week, is a calm, trusting mind!
