Apparently, the original had a shot of Kate Winslet's character, Rose, gazing at the night sky. A leading astronomer told the director, James Cameron, that, at that time in that position, those were not the stars she would have seen. So he made a correction. Ellen Dear Ellen, James Cameron is a Leo. I expect he made the change out of professional pride. Hindsight is always 20/20; but having now seen that chart, it contains much to reflect what happened. Tuesday April 24 Charisma Spray Jonathan, You have told Geminians that Venus will be in our sign for months. I'm already feeling more charismatic but I now learn Venus will be retrograde for much of this time. Should I prepare to lose friends? Should I get some of that body spray women find irresistible? Mark Dear Mark, 1. I normally make 'Geminis' the plural of Gemini, but now I see it written down, I quite like 'Geminians'. 2. Venus only stays so long because it turns retrograde! 3. I no more believe in a negative 'retrograde effect' than in the effect of that spray! Wednesday April 25 Make or Bake Jonathan, As a Taurean with an important work project, I was excited by the Grand Trine in March, thinking it would bring me luck if I worked hard. Wrong! My project failed. Can you offer a crumb of comfort for those who were disappointed by that alignment? Suzanne Dear Suzanne, Many readers say they did very well under that Grand Trine. I'm so sorry you missed out. Maybe life would have been even worse without it? Things may yet come right under the Transit of Venus on June 6. That's not so much a crumb as a whole loaf. A market that goes up and down like a yoyo perhaps. One, too, that often seems to have more downs than ups. We're still caught in the drama that began with the Credit Crunch of 2007 and more reasons to worry keep emerging. But despite Britain's dreaded double dip - and even though some of my respected colleagues are inclined to prophesy three more years of economic struggle - we're really not approaching the end of the world. Friday April 27 Dark of the Moon Shadow Often, I advise people not to spend so much time worrying about tomorrow that they forget to appreciate what's happening today. Last weekend, ironically, I realised that I needed to take my own advice! The previous week, I had written a lot about the Dark of The Moon. When we actually entered this monthly phase, I was busy looking to the future, writing the next set of daily forecasts. Suddenly, I began to feel a little uncharacteristically sensitive. It took quite a few moments before I remembered. Aha! Of course! That's what happens during the Dark of The Moon! Saturday April 28 Your May Monthly Forecast May 20 brings a glorious solar eclipse, although, unless you're in Japan, you don't stand much chance of seeing it. If you're lucky enough to be able to travel, it's worth the trip. The eclipse will be 'annular'. The Moon won't just perfectly blot out the light of the Sun, it will appear slightly smaller than the solar disc, creating a glorious shining ring around a dark circle. The good news is, we will all benefit from the influence no matter where we are or what sign we belong to. One way or another, May has magic in store.
