Although it's often said that the pen is mightier than the sword, it's only as mighty as the mind that controls its movements. Kay Dear Kay, A Grand Trine involves three planets forming 'trines' with each other. Jupiter and Neptune enter this relationship roughly twice in eight years, then have a gap of eight years. So for a Grand Trine to form, their alignment must coincide with the right season for the Sun to join the party. The last Sun-Jupiter-Neptune Grand Trines were in 1987 and 2000.
