Listen Again

I've been reading an article about how the builders of Stonehenge used what we know as the Pythagoras Theorem thousands of years before the Greek philosopher was born. But then, some truths seem to just exist... though it takes a while for them to be fully explained or labelled as such. As Mercury converges with retrograde Venus today, it may seem as if we're gaining valuable new insight. But perhaps we're simply confirming something our hearts have long known. It's time to listen to them again.

Clocking On

Yesterday, I mentioned that the knowledge we now know as The Pythagoras Theorem was used to build Stonehenge. But I don't want to repudiate the great philosopher's legendary intelligence. Recent examinations of the 2,100-year-old Antikythera Mechanism reveal that the Greeks came close to creating a working clock, centuries ahead of their time. Instead of measuring hours, this early computer calculates the movement of the planets. It shows how much importance was placed on celestial events - and how wise they really were!

Hi Oscar, I have a question about horoscopes and caesarian births. My baby was due on November 22, but I've been told I need a c-section. I've been given a date for the operation. Do I base my daughter's sign on her original due date or the date of the procedure? Yours, Barb
Hi Barb, Each of us is unique. There's only one of us and we only have one natal chart to cast. It's the moment that we first draw breath that's the time to cast it. Good luck! Oscar

Age of Hope?

Hello Oscar, I was sure we'd already moved from the Age of Pisces to enlightened Aquarius. Yet, so far, this century seems determined to prove me wrong. What's happening? Best, John
Dear John, As Aquarian Mars links somewhat uneasily with Piscean Neptune today, it's the perfect time to address your question. If you ask experts whether we're in an Aquarian, or Piscean age, or even when the change is supposed to take place, you'll be none the wiser. One thing is certain - confusion mustn't become paralysis, and we must move forward with hope. Oscar

A Bright Sunshiny Day

'I can see clearly now the rain has gone. I can see all obstacles in my way'. Johnny Nash didn't warble about easy paths opening up. He acknowledged the challenges ahead. Of course when we reach moments when we can wave goodbye to the dark clouds of despair, we find life easier to navigate and progress more forthcoming. Yesterday, we talked about the importance of hope in confusing times. Now, as Mercury's link with Neptune is energised by Mars, clarity returns and highlights a promising road ahead.

Your Week Ahead

The Sun will have just slipped into Scorpio before it moves opposite the Moon this week. With our silvery companion converging with Uranus, there's a feeling of contradiction in the air. As the Sun conjuncts with retrograde Venus, it brings a desire to protect deep feelings: whilst the Full Moon, linking with the great change-maker, is a clarion call for bold transformation. Even though it might need a bucketful of courage, defining desires is possible and preferable. After all, that's how dreams start to come true.
