The Power of Three
|

The power of the number 'three' has been understood for millennia. From Caesar's 'I came, I saw, I conquered' to Blair's 'Education, education, education', it has permeated ideas and rhetoric over the ages. We all know that things come in threes. So it's particularly significant that the Stellium, which begins to form today, sees first, the Sun, second Jupiter and third Mercury, all converge in Sagittarius. This cosmic event comes liberally coated with luck. There will be plenty to remind us that three really is the magic number.

Subtle Transformations
|

It's not just the magic of the number three that's exciting about the influence of the Stellium, because this particular group of three planets isn't working alone. Along with passionate Mars and intense Pluto they're creating a Minor T-Square, which provides the momentum to follow words with actions. Pluto enjoys moving stealthily... so there's a sense in which we can keep our cards close to our chests and not reveal our hand unless we want to. But subtly transforming tricky situations is possible today.

Pulling Power

Hi Oscar, The common perception seems to be that Jupiter is benevolent, while Uranus shakes things up. Yet sometimes Jupiter feels more like a hindrance than a help, and Uranus never shakes my things up positively! Are there 'good' and 'bad' planets? Yours, Lorie
Hi Lorie, I like the adage 'astra inclinant, sed non obligant'. We're not forced to follow the stars. The planets, like magnets, are neither good nor bad. We just need to learn how to best navigate the pushes and pulls they make on us. Oscar

Moving Mountains

Today, as the Stellium's three planets separate from the convergence we've talked about this week, the 'semi-square' relationship between Jupiter (meaningful belief) and Pluto (powerful transformation) hits its peak. It brings the words 'the faith that moves mountains' to mind. This phrase came to prominence in the 1582 Rheims Bible, which, interestingly enough, was also a year in which these planets made the same rare alignment. It suggests there's every reason to feel confident about facing a challenge.

Once More With Feeling

Venus is moving into a position where it is face to face with Uranus again. It first lined up opposite the planet of surprise in early September and, due to its retrograde movement, has remained there or thereabouts ever since. Now moving forwards, Venus makes a final link with Uranus this weekend, before re-entering Scorpio and leaving this tumultuous relationship behind. It's the chance for hearts to go wild before 'bedding-in' for longed-for changes. Any actions taken now must be committed to with feeling.

Your December Monthly Forecast

As we approach the end of the year (heralded by the Solstice) thoughts naturally turn to the passage of time and what the future holds. And with Venus moving on from her opposition with Uranus, our hearts will more easily settle in a new and positive direction. Yet, with this month's skies lacking the elemental energy of the air signs, good perspective will be required. Uranus' penultimate link with Neptune hints at bolts from the blue that will need fitting into the equation. And, with Jupiter in Sagittarius there's plenty of reason for optimism.
