Twists and Turns

Whenever the forces of Venus (the emotional instigator) and Mars (the passionate player) combine, the results are powerful. Over the weekend, as intense Mars converged with desirable Venus, hearts were set aflame. Yet, since this union took place in considerate Virgo no one's going to get too carried away... and with both Mars and Venus forming Grand Trines with Uranus and Saturn this week, we'll have a strong foundation from which to negotiate any twists and turns that a full heart may bring.

Astro-Ecology

Hi Oscar,
I care about global warming and try to be kind to our planet. I'm wondering whether climate change has an effect on us astrologically. Thanks, Tracey
Hi Tracey,
It's imperative that we take care of Mother Earth. But it's unlikely that increased carbon dioxide here will profoundly affect the other planets in our solar system. Perhaps, as our sea levels rise, Neptune's influence will increase! But short of us shipping so much excess carbon to the Moon that its orbit changes, the principles of my art should remain the same. Best... Oscar

The Bigger Picture
|

Once Mercury changes signs tomorrow, and the Moon soon after, all the 'personal' planets will be in Virgo. Mercury is Virgo's ruler, suggesting that Virgoan ideals and issues will be prevalent, with the need for humility and care as we industriously make decisions. Yet, with the Sun's sense of purpose, Mars' intensity, Venus' creativity, and the Moon's emotions all combining with Mercury's powers of analysis, although the devils may be in the details, the angels will be painting the bigger picture.

New Moon
|

We're in the Dark of the Moon as tomorrow the Lunar orb prepares to renew its cycle with the Sun for the second time this month. The second Full Moon in a month is often called a Blue Moon, so despite its absence from the heavens, there might well be an extra hint of cobalt or cyan in the part of the sky that's hiding our lunar companion. But whether we can see it or not, the New Moon's presence will colour our experiences - and the effects of this have the potential to be quite beautiful.

Blue New Moon

The Blue New Moon is here, and it has brought its friends to join the party. The Sun and Moon converge for the second time in August, and with both Mars and Venus soon to form Grand Trines with Uranus and Saturn, it suggests that a fundamental shift is underway. When something's worth doing it often means a degree of difficulty. But Saturn's harmonious connections suggest it's possible to make 'hard' look easy. Especially if, as Mercury gets involved, we use brains as well as brawn!

Your September Monthly Forecast
|
More Sally Fisher Art here.
|
There's adventure in the air as the month of September begins with a 'Stellium', a cluster of planets, forming in Virgo. This forms one point of a magnificent Grand Trine - a powerful source of support that will enable us to explore any challenges that come our way. A series of Neptunian oppositions will provide some of those; but, armed with cosmic enthusiasm, creativity and determination, we can find practical ways to harness this energy and find ourselves sailing into the Equinox with style.
