Transit of Mercury

I've been looking forward to the Transit of Mercury all year, and perhaps even longer! Today's celestial show-stopper, as the planet of communication passes across the face of the Sun, is linked to the last time it completed this visually dramatic event back in 2016. Much has changed since then. But although we're 'better connected', we've also become more isolated and entrenched in our views. Today reminds us that we all live under one Sun, and must plan for the future accordingly.

New Direction

Following yesterday's remarkable Transit of Mercury, here's the Taurus Full Moon with Saturn, Neptune and Pluto all in the right positions to create an incredibly rare and auspicious 'Cradle of the Ancients'. If the transit is the vehicle taking us where we hope to go, this is the engine under the bonnet giving us the energy to set off in a new direction. As long as we're careful about the power at our fingertips, we'll be waiting a long time for a better opportunity to get to where we want to go.

Fuel Speed Ahead

Yesterday I talked about the Cradle of the Ancients being the engine that can take us in the new directions revealed by the Transit of Mercury. But even the shiniest vehicle, with the most powerful motor, won't get far without any fuel. Luckily for us, Mars (energy and drive) is in an encouraging alignment with Jupiter (growth and adventure). That's not just a fill-up at the local petrol station. It's a future-proof, forward-thinking battery-charge capable of taking long journeys at great speed.

Less is More

Our planet has huge resources. There's plenty of oxygen to breathe, and (if it were shared out in the right way) food to eat. Yet supplies are exhaustible... and as our population grows, we might well have to make do with less. Sometimes, our physical cravings are substitutes for unfulfilled emotional needs. That's worth bearing in mind, especially following the Full Moon, which explored how to manage what we have and reconcile it with what we want. If we are open to the support on offer, our needs can be met.

Bathing in Glory

With Venus linking with empathetic Neptune, before entering a tense relationship with inspiring Uranus, it's time to dream about what could be. The weekend offers a sense of spaciousness; an escape from intense situations. Any recently instigated changes need to be followed up with a sensitivity that considers everyone's interests. Working for the good of all increases the level of appreciation; then, we can all bathe in its glory. It's not what we leave behind, but where we end up that matters.

Your Week Ahead

Mercury's transit across the face of the Sun may be over, but its effects continue to wield an influence. This week, as Mercury changes direction, it morphs from being a fault-finder into a solution-sleuth, and helps us appreciate why we seem to be lumbered with certain tasks. As Mars returns home to Scorpio, we'll be motivated to dig deep, and be inspired by underlying factors and newly discovered insights. And, with the Sun changing signs at the end of the week, it's a time for lighter moods and brighter prospects.
