In the UK, today's the day we get to meet other households indoors. And with hotels re-opening too, long-awaited family reunions can take place, and long-shuttered businesses can come back to life. Still, we've got a way to go before all aspects of our lives get back to 'normal'; but transformations rarely happen overnight. As the Sun and Pluto encourage bold metamorphosis today, with careful planning and thorough research, there's no need to hesitate about taking a vital step forwards.

Dear Oscar,
I'm a musician and have had a hard time over the last year. Is there much hope ahead? Yours, Tom
Hi Tom,
Jupiter's recent move into Pisces calls for renewed faith and optimism. As the planet of entertainment, opportunity and luck transits through the sign of soulful compassion and inspiring imagination it's a boon for the arts and creativity. Though its progress won't be linear, and its effects will take time, exciting prospects await. Yours, Oscar

Venus to the Rescue

Aquarius' twin rulers, Saturn and Uranus, have been in a feisty relationship since February. Their alignment has been separating, but when Saturn turns backwards this weekend, the intensity of this once-in-a-generation connection begins to rebuild. Saturn can be a strict taskmaster, demanding discipline and hard work, so there will be challenges ahead. But tomorrow, it makes a harmonious connection with kind, creative Venus. Just because something's difficult, doesn't mean it can't be enjoyable.

Game Over

My son's video games have difficulty settings and checkpoints where he can save his progress. When I was young, gaming was an unforgiving test of thumb-to-eye coordination and timing; when Game Over arrived I had to restart from scratch. Yet those old games showed that failing was a necessary step on the way to success. Yesterday, we talked about difficulty being pleasurable. As the Sun enters Gemini, our ideas can help solve puzzles. Some challenges are designed to be relished!

Peace and Pizza

It's the UN's 'World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development'. It's also (unofficially) National Pizza Party Day. I know which event I'd rather be invited to! If UN negotiators had multiple margheritas delivered to their summits maybe we'd be closer to achieving world peace! As Saturn turns retrograde, it's time to take stock and assess what's working and what's not. The Mercury/Neptune link suggests that if we communicate with care, we'll satisfy more than just our taste-buds this weekend.

This week brings a Supermoon Eclipse, ruled by powerful Jupiter, which is in Pisces for the first time in 11 years. This celestial message of hope encourages a sense of optimism; even some of the impossible situations we face are solvable. As Saturn now turns retrograde, the resilience of changes that have been put in place will be tested. But big ideas require bold hearts. And, whatever trials we might endure, the auspicious cosmic climate indicates that faith in a brighter future is well-founded.
