Harvest Moon

The Full Moon marks the start of Pitru Paksha, when Hindus honour their ancestors. And, with Neptune's influence permeating our skies, there's something particularly spiritual about this lunar event. Sometimes, we make sense of the bigger picture by emphasising the small things. That's why details are so important in any religious or secular rituals. As we approach the Equinox, the boundaries between the past and the present merge. With heightened awareness, what we learn now, will serve us well in the future.

Anyone doom-scrolling through a newsfeed might think the UN's International Day of Peace is a cruel joke. But how much of what we see comes about because of historical outrage and seething resentment? Full Moons encourage the rebalancing of agreements, and heightened awareness about how to work towards our goals. With Neptune's involvement, the Piscean Full Moon brings ideas on how to fulfil inspiring visions. Forgiveness and compassion are essential steps along the path towards realising those dreams.

Today's Equinox brings a clear cosmic signal; balance is key to harmony. Every bright light casts a shadow. Every downpour of rain washes dust away. The link between Mercury and Pluto, as they slow to change direction, is the first of several between the two planets. Together, they show us that few truths are absolute, and that today's secret to success might become tomorrow's problem. Yet the knowledge gained now will help us in the future. Although the puzzle may change, the pieces we're finding will be invaluable.

The Boss

Although Jupiter may have ruled the ancient gods, it's hard to argue with the might of the Sun. So, following the Equinox, on the day when Bruce 'The Boss' Springsteen celebrates his Libran birthday, whether we were Born In The USA, or anywhere else in the world, we'll feel the impact of the Sun in its new celestial home. It may not exactly herald Glory Days, but with Libra's ruler (Venus) moving opposite Uranus, greater charm and diplomacy will lead to changes that satisfy even the hungriest of hearts.

Future Cost

When Venus moves opposite Uranus, we focus on the future. Traditionally, this alignment signals the rise of new aesthetics and the modernising of values. It also encourages magnetic attractions. This year, any changes must acknowledge the past, rather than leave it behind. That doesn't mean sticking rigidly to tradition. But with Saturn's influence, and as Mercury is about to turn retrograde, progress won't be linear. Although something new and exciting is affordable this weekend, we'll need to keep the receipts!

Break out the hoverboards! Mercury's turning retrograde and taking us Back To The Future. Since I'm not a mad professor and don't own a DeLorean, what do I mean? Mercury's reversal challenges us to revisit our assumptions and calculations. This doesn't mean getting stuck in the past, like Marty McFly. It's an opportunity to correct errors that are hampering our progress so that we can move forwards. Sometimes we can be grateful for past mistakes. Without them we'd continue on roads we don't need to be on.
