PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

March 14 2022 to March 20 2022

Monday March 14

Glimmers of Hope

With Queen Elizabeth II celebrating her Platinum Jubilee this year, could this be the last Commonwealth Day she'll preside over? A certain ageing prince is probably getting impatient! Today, although we can't always get what we want, Venus and Neptune suggest that by sensitively supporting other people, long-lasting, beneficial relationships can be strengthened. Meanwhile, the Sun-Neptune link reinforces the power of symbolism and encourages us to work together for the common good.

Tuesday March 15

The Ides Of March

Beware the Ides Of March' warned Shakespeare's fortune-teller in Julius Caesar. Although today is the anniversary of when Julius met his end in 44BC, the term 'Ides' originally referred to the first Full Moon of the month. Any Roman tyrants have still got time to set up metal detectors to screen rivals for weapons! Actually, as Mars prepares to replicate yesterday's Venus-Neptune link, fragile peaceful resolutions are possible. And gentle approaches will be more effective at winning any arguments.

Wednesday March 16

Festival of Purim

There'll be music, dancing, and fancy dress in many parts of the world tonight, as the Jewish festival of Purim is celebrated. The enjoyment is encouraged as a way to celebrate survival in the face of adversity... a sentiment understood by everyone on our planet. The coming Full Moon imbues anyone who's sensitive to its effects with new spiritual understanding. And, as innovative Uranus prepares to link with Mercury and the Sun, we'll find unusual and eccentric ways to express inner truths.

Thursday March 17

Festival of Colours

In honour of St Patrick's Day, shall we call the approaching Full Moon a Green Moon? Since it's also the Hindu festival of Holi - commemorating love's triumph over evil, which is also known as the Festival of Colours, this Moon is positively kaleidoscopic! With its links to Neptune, Uranus, Venus and Mars, when greater emphasis is placed on creativity, no matter how colourful life becomes, we won't be feeling blue. If we put differences aside we can come together to form a rainbow of hope.

Friday March 18

Full Moon

It's hard not to be overwhelmed by events in the news. And with a Full Moon opposite sensitive Neptune, we'll feel the emotional burdens we carry today. But being in touch with our feelings is a vital quality. It's a way to gather resolve. The skies are asking us to practise what we preach and to take action to support a cause. Feeling things deeply takes strength and bravery. And whilst caring alone won't always fix things this weekend, it can make an important difference to what's going on.

Your Weekly Horoscope

In many ways, the human experience is about embodying a story; becoming part of a narrative about what has happened or failed to come to pass. Of reactions and inspiration. Of plans made. Of efforts thwarted. And of achievements. This week, as the Equinox signals the start of the astrological New Year, a page is turning. Mercury's links to Jupiter and Neptune encourage bigger dreams and higher hopes for this latest chapter. The future won't be without plot twists. But there will be a happier tale to tell.
