Following the weekend's Venus-Uranus link, and with the Supermoon on its way, there's plenty of emotion swirling around. Fortunately, Mercury's return home to Gemini indicates that clear heads will prevail. Although being logical has its merits, we can't ignore the messages our feelings convey. We need them to decode the Supermoon's impact. Although information helps us find forks in the road, it's our hearts that know which direction to take. The journey might not be quick, but it will be worthwhile.

In the medical world, it's not unusual for it to take years before a breakthrough has significant impact. Not long ago, Canadian scientists announced a technique with the potential to treat donor organs so that they became acceptable for all blood types. While these trials are ongoing, the need for financial support is vital. As the Supermoon arrives on World Blood Donor Day, it highlights the 'bigger picture' and our need to become part of the solution. By committing to a meaningful path, dreams can become reality.

Experiencing live art can be a transcendent experience. There's nothing that makes me feel more alive than leaving a performance and walking into the night air, inspired by the creativity and passion of talented performers. It renews my sense of wonder. Similarly, though the Supermoon has started to wane, its effects linger. Today, as Venus and Jupiter align, the cosmos encourages us to appreciate the world's love and beauty, and to do whatever we can to add our quota of enthusiasm.

Bin the List

What's the opposite of a 'bucket list'? My wife was pondering this in her attempts to make peace with herself over the things she feels too old and long-in-the-tooth to bother trying to do. She wants to take the pressure off... and was relieved to realise she doesn't need to pretend that she wants to ride in a helicopter one day! Sometimes, accepting limitations is liberating. As the Sun harmonises with Saturn and links to Neptune, we can set boundaries that help us let go of unwarranted feelings or obligations.

Juneteenth

This weekend 'Juneteenth' commemorates the emancipation of African-American slaves. Today is also Kendrick Lamar's birthday, whose chorus,'We gonna be alright', has become an anthem for people still experiencing injustice. It shows how powerfully art can be used to champion a cause. This weekend, as Venus aligns with Saturn while also forming a Minor Grand Trine with Neptune and Pluto, creative imagery has a powerful effect. But committing to stand by our values will have the most impact.

Your Weekly Horoscope

In astrology charts, the Sun is often taken to represent the father figure. And with Father's Day and the Solstice taking place this week, the Sun's influence is colouring our decisions. There's a big difference between paternal guidance and patronising interference - and there are times when what's meant as kindness can smother creativity. As Venus links with Saturn before changing signs, it heightens the value of independent decisions. Even if mistakes may be made, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn and grow.
