A Single Act of Kindness

It's Laylat Al-Qadr, the holiest night in the Islamic calendar. It's said that during these hours, a single act of kindness carries the blessings of a thousand months. But it's not just followers of faith who are rewarded for open-heartedness. As Venus aligns with Jupiter and Neptune ahead of the Blue Solar Eclipse, we all stand to benefit from believing in the best versions of ourselves and of others. The more generous and compassionate we strive to be, the better it will be for the world.

The Pursuit of Pleasure
|

Oscar Wilde promoted the concept. Kourtney Kardashian (whose birthday is today) has fashioned a career out of it. So, as Venus links with Jupiter and Neptune, let's not underestimate the value of aesthetics and the pursuit of pleasure. Of course, what goes on beneath the surface is important. But beauty isn't wrong or immoral. It's important to do what we do in the loveliest way we can do it. The more appealing we make our ideas today, the more successful they're likely to be.

Blue Solar Eclipse

As the Blue Solar Eclipse arrives, it aligns with transformative Pluto - which is exploring futuristic Aquarius for the first time in over 200 years. (So it's hardly surprising that societal challenges and artificial intelligence have become part of the zeitgeist). But, no matter how well internet data-scraping ChatGPT performs, it will never experience the sensation of physical pleasure, or the excitement of emotional connection. Tomorrow's Eclipse brings changes that remind us how wonderful being human can be.

Greater Reserves

Today's Eclipse follows a path over Australia and South-East Asia. As the second Aries New Moon this year it's referred to as a Blue Solar Eclipse. But don't let the name fool you: it's not going to make us feel 'gloomy'! Even though its impact will be intense, it brings valuable new insight into how peaceful and powerful the inhabitants of planet Earth can become. We have more resources and greater reserves than we realise. The Blue Solar Eclipse encourages us to harness them for the good of all.

Mastering Mercury Retrograde

Mercury turning retrograde isn't exactly great news on the UN's World Creativity and Innovation Day. But, then, big organisations hardly make the most inspiring muses! Fortunately, with the legacy of the Blue Solar Eclipse encouraging us to re-examine unresolved issues, with careful consideration, and honest communication, we can find inspiring ways to deal with old problems. We might not find the answers we want this weekend. But we can start formulating the right questions.

Your Weekly Horoscope

'What's in a name? That which we call a rhododendron, by any other word would smell as sweet'. Er... I might have got that quote wrong. As Shakespeare's birthday (April 23) marks World Book Day, I just wanted to do my bit! This week, with retrograde Mercury linking to Mars, there's a chance that enthusiasm will get in the way of accuracy. Fortunately, the Sun/Saturn combination encourages a slower, more methodical process that will enable creativity to flourish in sustainable, and enjoyable ways.
