Happy Beltane!

Happy Beltane! It's May Day, a time of festivities which, in traditional European cultures celebrate the arrival of summer. Years ago, this involved adorning the horns of cows with flowers and leaving food at trees to appease the faeries. But without any cattle to adorn, I think I'll take this bank holiday as a chance to rest and recuperate. Especially as with Pluto turning retrograde today and the Coronation Eclipse on the horizon; letting go of the need to control is the best way to ensure things go smoothly.
It's been 7 years since Jonathan died, and we're still missing him. His brilliance, his inspiring, unconventional approach to life, and his perceptive way of being able to see into people's hearts and lives, and offer inspirational advice, inspires us to keep his legacy going. And we're glad to have you here on this journey with us. As we continue onwards, even though he's not physically here, he's still helping people live happier lives. That's what he would have wanted. We love you JC. Your star continues to shine. You can watch a short video featuring some highlights of his life and career here.

Letting Go

Yesterday we talked about letting go of the need to control - which is, of course, easier said than done. Although, with retrograde Mercury meeting the Sun today, nothing is particularly easy to say! Which means it's important to think before we speak. And if plans suddenly seem flawed, it's a chance to reassess and readjust. Even if things don't seem to be moving in an ideal direction, there are reasons to be optimistic about the road ahead. By going with the flow, pleasing breakthroughs are possible.

The Coronation Eclipse
|

In the build-up towards the Coronation Eclipse, the media has often focused less on the royal event and more on the relationships between the family members. Full Moons bring events to a head. And, with this Scorpio Eclipse (which represents inheritance, shared wealth, and control) taking place opposite Uranus, the planet of rebellion, the skies seem to be aptly reflecting the situation! Yet open-hearted communications can heal old wounds. With compassion, difficulties can be overcome.

Luke Skywalker

Although 'May the 4th' (be with you) might not be an official holiday, my Star Wars-obsessed son celebrates it with gusto. And in the approach to the Coronation Eclipse, we don't need to be Luke Skywalker to feel pulled by the cosmic forces. Reacting to imaginary threats can compromise our emotional security. But (luckily for us), the Eclipse isn't the Death Star looming on the horizon! Rather than looking for weaknesses to target, by sensitively moving forwards there are ways to combat challenges.

The Coronation Eclipse

Here comes the Coronation Eclipse: a moment of charged emotions and potential breakthroughs. Although eclipses are often considered to be bad omens for royalty, with this celestial event linking to the Sun in King Charles's birth chart, this one could play into his hands in a constructive way. For everyone (not just the Royal Family), success depends on how much control we feel the need to exert. The skies are promoting faith, generosity and optimism. It's by demonstrating kindness that progress can be made.

As Venus enters home-loving Cancer, wealth, beauty and values associated with the past are on the agenda. It's perfect for the Coronation Weekend - when traditions of yesteryear dominate the media. Yet the legacy of the Lunar Eclipse (linked with quirky Uranus) suggests that conformity won't be high on this week's agenda. Conventions can be stretched to create spaces to be innovative. We can find the freedom to push beyond our normal limitations whilst being respectful... and having fun.
