Queen B
Choosing a present for Queen B Beyonce (whose birthday is today) can't be easy. Since Jay Z is rumoured to be interested in buying a London football stadium, where she performed this year, maybe that's going to be his gift? But owning a football club is challenging... they might end up with more than 99 problems to deal with! As both Venus and Jupiter change direction, we don't need flamboyant displays of wealth to show how much we care. Kindness is the most valuable gift we can offer.

Go Venus
After six weeks of reversing through our skies, the planet of love, Venus, is moving forwards again. That's good news. But, as Venus changed direction, Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, started a retrograde journey that lasts until December 31st. Does that mean we have to wait until 2024 to feel luckier in love? No! Jupiter's movement is a chance to realign our inner compass and get in touch with what really matters. This opportunity to develop wisdom can spell wonders for our relationships.

Pruning for Growth
As Mercury (communication) continues to wind its way backwards, it meets with the Sun while linked with mysterious Pluto. It's an ideal time to re-think and reshape our ideas. Sometimes we initiate plans, but circumstances lead us off course. Just as pruning branches encourages vigorous growth, a judicious cut can lead to more fruitful results. Today, by letting go of distractions that have been diverting our attention, we can focus on taking effective action... and get back on track.

Homeschool Days
After two extra days of holiday (due to teacher training) my son has returned to school. And after six weeks of juggling work and designing activities to keep him off screens, I admit that I greeted his departure with a sense of relief! But I'm also sad to be spending less time with him. As the Sun parts company with retrograde Mercury and prepares to align with Jupiter, it's OK to feel nostalgic. There's optimism in the air. We can use the energy to plan new adventures to look forward to.

Art as Innovation
Visiting private gardens, museums and art collections gives us a chance to explore the worlds created by innovators. In subtle ways, these cultural experiences influence the way we approach our own lives. With encouragement from the Sun-Jupiter link, not only can we all appreciate creativity, but, this weekend, as dynamic Mars and innovative Uranus align, we can use inspiration to initiate change. Ideas that have been simmering on the back burner? Turn the heat up! It's action time!

Your Weekly Horoscope
Do pragmatism and optimism go hand-in-hand? Accepting limitations doesn't mean giving up on our dreams. And looking at details brings the bigger picture into sharper focus. As Mercury slows before turning direct at the New Moon, if life doesn't feel glamorous it's because we're developing tools to guide us through confusing situations. The more thought we put into getting simple things right, the more anchored we become. We can emerge confident about creating positive change.
