PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY November 20 2023 to November 26 2023 Monday November 20 Buried Treasure As the Sun and Mars separate from their weekend rendezvous, they both link to mysterious Pluto. It's significant, because this is the last time they'll meet the dwarf planet, in Capricorn, in our lifetime. To make good use of this cosmic gift, we need to dig for buried treasure... and work creatively with whatever we find. Chances are, we won't uncover any sparkling jewels. But the reward this work brings has the potential to be valuable... in ways that benefit both ourselves and the people we care about. Tuesday November 21 Marvel Movie We had a family outing to see the new Marvel movie this weekend. Disney only has to dress potatoes in capes and I'm ready to queue and google Black Friday deals on 'super-spud' action figures! But it's not the plot-lines that have me hooked: it's the bond, between my son and I, which the franchise fosters. As the Sun prepares to move into Sagittarius, we don't need capes to be heroic. Sometimes just the act of showing up is enough to save the day. And sometimes too, responsibilities can be silly and fun. Wednesday November 22 Moon Return Today marks 60 years since the assassination of President Kennedy. Remembered for (amongst many things) his enthusiasm for the Apollo missions, it's interesting to note that in today's world of AI, supercomputers and billionaire space tourism, it's been a long time since we've visited the Moon. The Sun in Sagittarius encourages us to be more adventurous and positive in our outlook. Although Saturn's influence will test our resolve, with Mars following the Sun, enthusiasm can take us further than we think. Thursday November 23 Thanksgiving It's Thanksgiving, when the US takes time to appreciate life's blessings. Yesterday, we talked about Saturn testing our resolve. And if there's one thing that's guaranteed to test my patience, it's spending too long with relatives. I love them of course. But there's no doubt that our nearest and dearest are amongst the people best equipped to push our buttons! Challenges are just part and parcel of relationships. Today, the skies encourage us to appreciate and protect our traditions, despite their imperfections.
