PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

Monday April 1
Foolish Mercury
The effects of retrograde Mercury are often misrepresented. But does the fact that it's renowned for bringing problems prove those negative allegations are true? Or maybe I'm tripping myself up with my own logic! Before I make a fool of myself on April Fool's Day, I have a suggestion: as Mercury changes direction, don't take assumptions at face value today. This is an ideal time to re-examine ideas we take for granted; and rewrite cleverer, more inspired plans.

Tuesday April 2
The Little Mermaid
Hans Christian Andersen was born today, over 200 years ago. It's a mark of his genius that his stories have endured. And no doubt he'd be thrilled that International Children's Book Day is celebrated on his birthday. With Mercury now retrograde, it's a great time to look at the stories we've been told, and see if there's anything new to learn from them. When information goes unquestioned it can inform views that lead us astray. By correcting assumptions today, we can uncover truths that set us on better paths.

Wednesday April 3
The Beatles
We tend to think of artists as dreamers; that although their contributions make life more interesting and beautiful, they don't make much difference to the world. But where would we be without Leonardo Da Vinci? Or the Beatles? Imagination isn't a sign of frivolity. Today, Venus, still in a relationship with Jupiter, converges with Neptune in Pisces. Together these planets help us to appreciate creativity. By tapping into our artistic sides, we can find more joyful ways to lead our lives.

Imaginative Accounting
Yesterday, we talked about imagination being a profitable resource. And with the UK's tax year drawing to a close there may be some 'imaginative' accounting taking place! But we don't need to confuse or mislead in order to profit from situations. When something doesn't feel right, we risk drifting into uncomfortable territory and can easily end up feeling lost. With Venus and Jupiter in 'mutual reception' for another day, it's by being honest and true to our values that we'll be guided towards a truly rewarding future.

Friday April 5
Venus enters Aries
As Venus moves into Aries, it heats up affairs of the heart. For the best part of a month, it's been in 'mutual reception' with Jupiter, encouraging a growing appreciation of beauty in the world. Now, as the planet of love and pleasure changes signs, we no longer need to stand back and admire the bigger picture. It's inspiring us to get stuck in and become part of the action. The more initiative we show this weekend, the faster we'll realise ways to bring more love into our lives.

Your Weekly Horoscope
Six months ago, I wrote about the Trail of Fire Eclipses. This week the Trail culminates with the second of these two spectacular events. With its links to last October combined with retrograde Mercury, past themes and unresolved issues are likely to re-emerge. But what's exciting about this Solar Eclipse is that it brings the energy to tackle them head on. And this week, as dynamic Mars converges with resilient Saturn, if we focus on creating positive change, our actions can be transformational.
