Elvis on Mars
It's Elvis' and Bowie's birthday. Legend has it that the King of Rock 'n' Roll once asked Bowie to produce an album for him. Sadly, it never got made: imagine the sound their incredible combination of talent would have created?! Today's celestial collaboration seems curiously fitting. Ingenious Mercury's link with imaginative Neptune highlights inspiring creativity. It also reminds us that ideas need to be acted on. We can find ways to turn abstract concepts into meaningful realities. Now... where's my guitar...

Water's Desire
Although we all sometimes pray for strength, maybe that's not the quality we really require. It's not the strength of the storm that carves valleys out of mountains - it's the raindrop's relentless desire to reach the ocean. Strength develops from determination. So, as Mars aligns with the cosmic teacher, Saturn in a 'talent triangle' with lucky Jupiter today, flexing muscles isn't the key to more power. It's the desire to commit to long-term courses of action. It's a good time to set goals and plan steps towards realising them.

The Sopranos
Today marks 25 years since one of the greatest TV shows made its debut. 'The Sopranos' is, at moments, a challenging watch. But its portrayal of the complexities of its characters makes it an entertaining drama that stands the test of time. In real life, we've all got our own dramas to deal with. And as the New Moon (linked with Uranus) approaches, it encourages us to challenge conventions and break new ground. There are challenges ahead (just like on the TV show), but with determination, we can achieve recognition and success.

A Bright Horizon
Today, the New Moon in Capricorn arrives harmonising with one of the great celestial troublemakers, Uranus. Yet trouble is in the eye of the beholder. People who cause problems rarely see themselves as being problematic. And sometimes, purposefully rocking the boat obliges us to dig deep and find innovative ways to sail forwards, towards a bright horizon. This is a time to stand up for what we believe. Listening to our hearts and doing what's right is more important than maintaining respectable reputations.

One Dollar Hat
Apparently, when asked how much money he needed in order to be happy, Rockefeller replied 'just one dollar more'. Since it's the founder of Amazon's birthday today, maybe someone should ask Jeff Bezos how many cowboy hats it will take to make him cool? I venture to suggest that it's one less! As Mars and Jupiter's alignment perfects while linked with Saturn, today brings a reminder that it's spiritual exploration (rather than material expansion) that provides the most meaningful return on our investments.

Your Weekly Horoscope
The lyric, 'Anything you can do I can do better' nicely sums up the mood of the week. As Mercury repeats Mars' alignments with expansive Jupiter and resolute Saturn, there's an edge of competitiveness in the air. Yet these celestial relationships are symbiotic and encouraging (rather than antagonistic and fraught). When we focus on our goals, and are aware of our impact on others, we can use this energy to maximise opportunities. By working harmoniously, our progress will benefit the wider world, as well as ourselves.
